ACUPUNCTURE
What acupuncture is. The first time Dr. Santiago had acupuncture he was in high school, he was injured playing soccer and his father treated him with acupuncture in 1973. Dr. Santiago went to Acupuncture school in 1995 and have been practicing it ever since.
Acupuncture is a time-tested practice that involves the strategic placement of thin needles at specific points on the body to encourage natural healing and restore balance. Dr. Santiago utilizes acupuncture to address a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, stress, anxiety, headaches, and even digestive issues. This technique works by stimulating the body's nervous system, prompting the release of endorphins and other natural chemicals that reduce pain and promote relaxation. Acupuncture has been shown to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and enhance the body’s ability to repair itself.
For patients dealing with musculoskeletal discomfort, acupuncture can be particularly effective in reducing muscle tension, improving blood flow, and enhancing overall mobility. Many individuals find that acupuncture not only relieves their immediate symptoms but also improves their overall well-being, creating a sense of calm and balance. Whether you are recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or seeking a natural way to improve your health, acupuncture offers a gentle yet powerful approach to healing. Dr. Santiago carefully assesses each patient's condition to develop a personalized acupuncture treatment plan, ensuring the best possible results.
